Summer must have: the slippers for him and for her

As suggested by the most celebrated dandy, the silhouette is shaped from the bottom. Santoni - AW 2013-14 Woman Collection

On the 21st of February, the day before Santoni opened its new flagshipstore in Milan, there was another interesting event: The presentation of the Autumn-Winter 2013/2014 Woman Collection.

Images of elaborate design, of bourgeois ambiences, self confident women and geometric inspirations. Sophisticated materials: leather, velvet, precious fabrics, crocodile. As well as the visionary of the sixties used as a magnifying glass working above the use of new shapes and the development of new lines.

Santoni Blue

Santoni always plays the canons of masculine elegance associating them to blue in their maximum expression. Thanks to the artistic and exquisite handmade technique in which the brand stands out - patina - the coats of colour are applied the one after the other in order to obtain a nuanced tone, deep and vibrant. So the two iconic models par excellence, the double buckle made in Goodyear construction and the laced up with perforated toe and asymmetric eyelets, become one of a kind. A modern and stylish look, perfect to match with the must of the season such as the suits in light colour of colonial inspiration, or the safari jacket worn with a white shirt and linen pants.

Recently we were in Corridonia to visit the Santoni factory. During our tour, we saw something amazing. Santoni, leader maison in luxury footwear, meets Rubelli, the noble Venetian firm that represents a point of reference worldwide for high-end fabrics since 1858. A shoe that brings to amazing companies together and combines two amazing products.

Santoni Boots

Summer has come to an end so it is time to open your closet and put on those nice Santoni winter shoes.

Almost all over the world, winters can be pretty cold and our feet need greater protection. Traditionally, this is provided by boots, especially by boots which extend 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) above the ankle. Boots can cover just the foot but some styles even cover the lower parts of the leg. Santoni has even made a medium high boot with a built in sock.

For making boots, same materials and techniques are used as when making normal shoes, the biggest difference is the sole. Most boots are made with a rubber sole to prevent slipping in the snow or on a wet surface.

Santoni at PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 81°

As always, Santoni was present at the 81st edition of the Pitti Uomo in Firenze. 

The contemporary experience of style is made of overturning rules, blending codes and drifting categories. Formal style softens while casual codes acquire an unexpected poise. Winter warm: Santoni Mountain Chic

This winter, Santoni makes sure that you will look stylish and your feet will be warm. With a collection of shoes that are all handcrafted and with names like Chamonix, Everest and St. Moritz, the name "Mountain Chic" really comes to mind.

Some models are inspired on old skiboots or mountain boots and with the anti-slip rubber soles and up to 600 stitches, the famous Santoni quality is recognizable immediately. The rubber sole not only gives you the grip that you need in the snow or on a hill, it also is a good isolation and gives you more warmth. The warmth is also created by the fur interior of some shoes. 

 Besides the "boots", also the classic shoes like the Oscar and George are fitted with a rubber sole with profile. A wonderful combination of a classic shoe with a sporty and casual look. Santoni at PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 80°

As usual, Santoni is also this year present at the Pitti Immagine expo in Firenze, Italy. The Pitti Immagine is an expo that takes place in the beautiful city of Firenze from the 14th until the 17th of June.

The place to set your eyes on the newest Santoni shoes.

The Pitti Immagine Uomo is the world’s most important platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections and for launching new projects in men’s fashion. At this edition there are:

- 995 brands/collections of which 347 are from abroad

- 825 exhibitors in total 

- 59.000 square meters

- 32.000 visitors in total

- 19,200 buyers attended the previous summer edition

Santoni presents at the Pitti Immagine Uomo the new 2012 Spring-Summer collection PUR_E by Santoni CLUB. The company, located in Corridonia, will develop a three years worldwide project that, within the lines of Santoni DNA, can re-interpret the outdoor shoe making it elegantly informal.

Five new sneaker and free time shoes concepts differing from other sneakers in the market as they are made with the Santoni famous know how about shoes but in a more sporty version. 

To prove it, at the next Pitti exhibition there will be a new CLUB space added to the traditional Santoni stand, giving shape to this new challenge. A box made of natural washed wood, from managed forests, envelopes the sunlight and channels it on the new collection.

Santoni Shabby Chic

For the winter of 2009/2010 Santoni presented a new label: Shabby Chic. After adding the Club for men, Santoni came with this new label. Hand made shoes for men in an appealing, elegant style. 

The shoes from this label are more casual than the normal collection, but still very elegant and chic. Perfect shoes for your fancy day off or for that nonchalant look for that special party.

Giuseppe Santoni is the driving force behind the design of this amazing collection. 

The traditionally made leather shoes in deer, kangaroo, calf and lizard are a perfect match between classic and modern.

Last week, Santoni and AMG launched their new website for the "Santoni for AMG" collection. For Santoni Society a great moment to shine a light on this important partnership.
